My role with the Australian Greens was National Communications Coordinator and responsibilities included oversight of the national style guide development, oversight of major web site upgrades and content development and architecture for the 2016 federal election, carriage of social media advertising, liaison with teams working on television advertising and video production, liaison with designers for production of national print and digital materials, liaison with campaign, media and field leads to ensure timely communication of priorities to state teams and lower-house candidates and internal communications to ensure lower-house campaign queries were addressed in a timely fashion.
The brief for the Greens web site was to update the look and feel, make it easier to find the key components of the election platform and to increase the number of pages viewed by the average viewer. Following the site redesign, bounce rate went from close to 70 per cent down to nine per cent.
